Cook County Inmate Search

Step 1: Access the Cook County Sheriff's Office Inmate Search Page

• Go to the Cook County Sheriff's Office website: https://www.cookcountysheriff.org

• Under the "Inmates" tab, select "Inmate Search."

CLICK HERE to Search for Incarcerated Friends or Family Members

Step 2: Select Search Criteria

• Choose one of the following search criteria:

  • Inmate ID
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Date of Birth

Step 3: Enter Search Information

• Enter the selected search information in the appropriate field.

• If searching by name, enter at least the first three characters of the first and last name.

• For Date of Birth searches, use the MM/DD/YYYY format.

Step 4: Click the "Search" Button

• Click the "Search" button to initiate the inmate search.

Step 5: Review Search Results

• If the search yields results, a list of matching inmates will be displayed.

• The list will include the following information:

  • Inmate ID
  • Booking Number
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Facility

Step 6: Click on the Inmate's Name

• Click on the inmate's name to view detailed information, including:

  • Mugshot
  • Booking Date
  • Charges
  • Bond Amount
  • Court Date
  • Attorney Information
  • Housing Information

Step 7: Additional Information

• Inmate information is updated every 15 minutes.
